About 100 million people worldwide are homeless and another 900 million are estimated to live in slum-like conditions, characterized by insecure tenure and inadequate housing (UNDP)
Shelter is a primary need for all. Especially in a world filled with poverty and instability, people need a place where they can hide and feel safe and protected. However, adequate shelter provides more than a roof. It is closely linked with people’s self-esteem and is strongly associated with improved health and rising educational and economic success.
Challenge
To develop social business projects that contribute to decent and affordable housing facilities, in which people feel protected and which they can proudly call home.
